In John 11:17-44 we see the event of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. This powerful story teaches us about the importance of holding on to our faith in difficult times.

When Jesus arrived in Bethany Lazarus had already been dead for four days. Martha one of Lazarus’ sisters came out to meet Jesus and said,  “Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died” (John 11:21). Even though she had faith that Jesus could heal her brother, she couldn’t understand why he wasn’t there to save him in the first place.

Despite Martha’s doubts, Jesus continued to have faith in God’s plan. He said to her. Your brother will rise again” (John 11:23). And sure enough, when Jesus spoke the word for Lazarus to come out of the tomb, he came back to life.

This story teaches us that even when things seem hopeless we are to hold on to our faith in God. Just as Jesus had faith that Lazarus would rise again we should have faith that God has a plan for us and that he will see us through difficult times.

It’s important to remember that our faith is not based on our circumstances but on the very character of God. Even when things seem impossible God is still in control and working all things for our good. We can trust that he will never leave us or forsake us.

In the midst of difficult times, it’s easy to become discouraged and lose hope. But we must remember that God is always with us and he is working to bring about good in our lives. We must hold on to our faith and trust that God will see us through.

Just as Jesus had faith in God’s plan for Lazarus we should have faith in God’s plan for our lives. We may not always understand why certain things happen but we can trust that God is in control and that he has a purpose for everything.

As we hold on to our faith we can be confident that God will work all things together for our good. Even when we can’t see the way forward God has a plan and he will lead us through.

In difficult times  it can be easy to focus on our problems and lose sight of the bigger picture. But remember that God is always with us and he is working to bring about good in our lives. We must hold on to our faith and trust that God will see us through.

After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, many of the people who witnessed the event believed in him. This story not only teaches us about the power of faith and holding on during difficult times but also the power of a testimony seeing is believing.

As we hold on to our faith we should also be ready to share our testimony with others. When we share our story of how God has worked in our live it can be a powerful witness to others and help them to believe in Jesus.
