This scripture reminds us to hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering. It’s a call to perseverance and stead fastness in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
One of the most challenging aspects of holding fast to our faith is the constant temptation to doubt and question the promises of our God. We live in a world that is constantly trying to pull us away from our faith, and it can be easy to become discouraged and lose sight of the truth of God’s word.
However, we can take comfort in the fact that God is faithful and will always keep His promises! He is a steady anchor in the midst of the storms of our lives and when we hold fast to Him we will not be swayed.
One way to hold fast to our faith is to make sure that we are regularly reading and studying the Word of God. When we immerse ourselves in the truth of scripture we are reminded of His promises and are better equipped to resist the temptations of the world.
Another way to hold fast is to surround ourselves with other believers who can encourage and support us in our walk with God. When we are in community with other Christians that too is a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles and that we can lean on one another for strength and encouragement.
It is also important to remember that holding fast to our faith does not mean that we will never face trials or difficulties. In fact Jesus himself promised that we would face persecution and trouble in this world. But He also promised that He would be with us always, and that we could find peace and joy in the midst of the storms of life.
When we are faced with difficulties in life we must resolve to hold fast to our faith and trust in the promises of God. We can take comfort in the fact that He is always with us and that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Hebrews 10:23 reminds us to hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering. This is a call to perseverance and steadfastness in the face of challenges and temptations of this world.
Father,
Thank you for your unfailing word! You’ve given us thousands of promises for our lives in every season. We can hold on like the song says because the word of your promise gives us faith and hope.
JN
Amen
